NOTES

As of the time of writing, I have a place to live; a basic income stream; and BitTorrent.
The things on this list are here because they will give me things to do
      things to make
      places to go-
or ways to help me get there.

What else is life?

2012 Edition

The Book Liszt

Goto Top

all of these books are desired solely as HARDCOVERS, likewise UNABRIDGED, and IN ENGLISH.
a used book, if STURDY and CLEAN INSIDE, will more than satisfy.
first editions and such things are of little particular interest to me.

Pharmako/Poeia, Pharmako/Gnosis, Pharmako/Dynamis, Dale Pendell
Three books; might be purchasable as a set

History of the Grand Rebellion, Edward Hyde, Lord Clarendon
From the 1826 edition; bound in full leather
I need only Volumes 1 and 2 to complete my set

Paradise Lost, Eighth Edition, John Milton
LONDON : printed for W. STRAHAN (et. al.) : introduction by THOMAS NEWTON, D.D.
I need only Volume 2 to complete my set
An unbound or shoddily-bound volume is fine; my Volume 1 needs rebinding, and thus I could have them bound to match

Technology
For my DSLR, I could very much use a little tripod. The camera itself is very light (under a pound, including lens).

Library
Whatever my commitment to the digital, I would also enjoy having a nice leatherbound journal or two floating around, to take with me on future travels. Like the Ghost Fern Raparound from etsy user EarthworksJournals.

Art
My tastes are nothing if not strange. But I don't mind you guessin'!

I have a few smaller pieces that need simple framing. Most are 8.5x11 or nearabouts. Should be under glass, simple frame... nothing special.

Antiques
I'm always in search of good old boxes. Simple wood, beat-up or pure; brass-banded, iron fasteners; boxes made of metal; stone; &c
Also old glass jars: Mason, apothecary, chemical, &c

I am fond of items of historical interest, medical and technological antiquary, and stuff that just looks cool on a shelf.
I'm particularly fond of silver & copper doohickeys, thingamabobs, Maguffins, &c

Food & Drink
A few cakes (tuocha) of oolong would be wonderfully appreciated. If they are of good quality and properly wrapped, I would lay them down to age.

Kitchenware
I would like to get a Neuro Fuzzy - truly the king of all the rice-cookers.

How about these Matryoshka measuring cups. $12. So cute!

Blacksmithing
As soon as I get access to a forge, I'd love a few things to aid me in smitin' the black metal.
A nice hammer; three or four pairs of tongs; some punches and chisels; letter-punches; a blade-flatter...
I'll get back to you.

Outdoors and Survival
Though it pains me to say it, I have not yet been able to forge a good survival knife for myself. After much thought, I would like this one.

Accessories
I'd like a nice leather belt - without a buckle. Then I'll go to the forge and make one. I'd like that.

A pair of mokume gane cufflinks, like these from Etsy user HandmadeJewelry5280. Perhaps with tie bar to match.

Or these sadly steampunk gear cuffs, from Etsy user Precious Pastimes
